Bankruptcy, Insolvency and Restructuring
Lambert Leser’s bankruptcy practice group has earned a national reputation for excellence in insolvency and bankruptcy, representing debtors, creditors, trustees, creditor committees or financial institutions in both business and consumer cases. Whether through formal bankruptcy proceedings or an out-of-court workout, we are committed to working with our clients to identify innovative problem-solving strategies that best fit their needs. Our broad-based experience in bankruptcy law means we know the most practical ways to protect the interests of creditors, debtors and the trustees appointed to administer bankruptcy cases. We also have developed expertise in a wide variety of industries – including the auto industry, where we have represented several top suppliers in both the bankruptcies of Chrysler and General Motors. In addition, our bankruptcy group has represented bankruptcy trustees in several large involuntary cases and in the largest farm bankruptcy ever filed in Michigan. Currently, we are counsel for the State of Michigan in the Detroit bankruptcy case.
